As in the M3000-RS (which is intended for stereotactic systems), the patented ARM technique is based on moving in synchronized manner the tank and the radiation probe in opposite directions, therefore keeping the SAD constant. This allows for ISOCENTRIC data collection, without the hassle of lifting tables, converting data (which may add error to the data ranging from 2 to 20%) or doing some juggling with many devices at the same time in the radiation room; scanning at the same speed as conventional scans.
When the lift mechanism is not present or not active, the device works just like a conventional tank, allowing to perform conventional scans such as PDD and conventional cross profiles.
